The new FREE GNG Community Connector program serving the towns of Gray and New Gloucester is starting on Tuesday, October 1. Two “community connectors,” Lori Fowler and Cindy Slocum, will be available to provide information about activities and supports in the area, answer questions about available resources, and help people navigate programs and services.

  • Are you a caregiver looking for help for a family member?
  • Do you live alone and wonder how to live comfortably and safely in your home?
  • Do you need help staying warm in your home in the winter?
  • Are you facing a surgery and need information about equipment supplies or other home services?
  • Do you want to socialize and meet others in town?

Lori and Cindy will be available to chat one-on-one at the following times:
— Tuesdays, noon to 3 pm, Gray Public Library
— Thursdays, 9 am to noon, New Gloucester Public Library

You can also stop by for free coffee/tea and refreshments, chat with neighbors and meet Lori and Cindy:
Coffee Hour in NG:
— Tuesdays 9 am to 11 am
— Vestry of the First Congregational Church in New Gloucester
Tea Time in Gray:
— Thursdays 1 pm to 3 pm
— Meeting room at the Gray Library

Lori Fowler can be reached at (207)572-6493 and Cindy Slocum can be reached at (207) 572-2594.

The Community Connections program is a collaboration with the Governor’s Cabinet on Aging, the UMaine Center on Aging, and Maine’s five Area Agencies on Aging. Gray and New Gloucester are one of 11 pilot sites chosen to participate in this program.
