The Gray-New Gloucester boys basketball team defeated Noble 71-59 in the Class A South regional final Friday night, earning a trip to the state championship game next Saturday. There the GNG Patriots will face Hampden Academy, 44-43 winners over Messalonskee in the North region match-up.
The Class A championship game tips off Saturday, March 2, at 2:45 at the Cross Insurance Arena in Portland. For fans not in the stands, Maine Public Television will broadcast and live-stream the GNG-Hampden game as part of its full Championship Weekend hoops coverage.
