FY26 budget planning, salt and sand shed removal bids, Public Works staffing on Sept. 16 agenda

With Labor Day preempting their usual meeting day, the Select Board has a lengthy agenda for their September 16 meeting. Items include discussing parameters and schedules for the upcoming budget cycle and opening bids to demolish the Upper Village salt and sand shed.

Staffing is also on the agenda. The board will discuss a Public Works staffing shortage as winter plowing looms and, to support NGTV, a possible new Media Production Coordinator position to be shared with Gray and MSAD 15.

The board is expected to review a draft RFP for design of the Fairgrounds bathroom and storage building, and in a related topic, roadside parking by the Fairgrounds.

Also on the agenda: a request from the Economic and Community Development Committee to pursue a no-match grant with Fire Rescue for reflective house numbers for homes that lack them, a new liquor license request for Café 1055 in the Upper Village, a liquor license renewal for the Eagles on Sabbathday Road, and bingo for Amvets.

The meeting will convene at 7 p.m. at the Meetinghouse and will be live-streamed at this link. Find the full agenda at this link.
