Fairgrounds bathrooms, Fire Rescue compensation policy, draft warrant on March 17 agenda

At their March 17 meeting, the Select Board will revisit the Fairgrounds bathrooms project, and they will undertake their first review of the proposed warrant for the May 5 Town Meeting.

The board is also slated to consider a revised Fire Rescue Compensation Policy and s well as revised Cable TV policy at their March 17 meeting. Renewal of Brickyard Hollow’s liquor license is also on the agenda, among other items.

The meeting begins at 7 p.m. in the Meetinghouse and will be live-streamed at this link.

Fairgrounds bathrooms. At the board’s last meeting, Parks & Rec Director Sarah Rodriguez recapped the total funds earmarked for permanent bathrooms and storage at the Fairgrounds: some $168,000, she said. With a $239,000 quote in hand and a further $75,000 capital request in the pipeline this year, Rodriguez hoped to move forward on construction. Now it appears questions have arisen over the amount of funds set aside and capital review of the project.

Proposed May 5 Annual Town Meeting Warrant. The board will do its first review of the proposed May 5 town meeting warrant. The warrant includes budget items—some of which may be revised at the March 17 meeting—and an article about retaining the old ambulance as a back-up (pp.46-58).

Updated Fire Rescue Compensation Policy. The revised policy clarifies roles and terminology and updates payrates, among other changes. Read the policy at pp. 20-28 of the meeting agenda packet.

Revised Cable TV Policy and Procedures. The board will review additional updates to the policy and procedures manual for NGTV. Cable TV Manager Chris Daggett has had an opportunity to review the document, which can be read at pp. 29-41.

Brickyard Hollow liquor license renewal request. Read the details at pp. 8-17.
