The Basics of Mushroom Identification with North Spore

Description:
Have you ever walked by some beautiful mushrooms and wondered what they were, but didn’t even know where to begin? This class is for you! With another mushroom season approaching, Louis Giller from North Spore Mushrooms will discuss his favorite helpful sources and how to use them. Be extra prepared to appreciate and eat the fungal marvels of Maine.

North Spore is based out of Portland provide mushroom growing supplies and expertise.

These classes are a great time to learn and ask all your mushroom questions!

While this class is intended to take place mostly indoors, we like to make the most of what the day offers so please come prepared to be outdoors as well.

Directions to the Education Barn: Follow GPS directions to the Market at 15 Farm View Drive, New Gloucester, Maine. Continue past the Market on Farm View Drive and take your first left onto Valley Farm Rd. Follow Valley Farm Rd. until you see the Smokehouse Visitors Center (white silo) on the right-hand side. Take the right-hand turn immediately after the Smokehouse down to the Family Farmyard. The Education Barn is the largest barn in the farmyard.
