Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Cultural Competency Training (Sold Out)

September 23, 2021 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Free

Cross Cultural Community Services (CCCS) will provide collaborative training on how to raise your own cultural competency and engage in dialogue that supports anti-racist ideals. Focused on Maine and Maine systems, CCCS specializes in providing guidance that is local, actionable, and context-driven. The team has broad knowledge and lived experience in creating concrete strategies that mitigate racism, classism, and bias.

This event is free and hosted by New Gloucester United Against Racism, with special thanks to the New Gloucester UCC Church for allowing us to gather in their vestry. It’s the first in a series of three sessions, with future dates to be announced soon.

Tickets are free, but we do request that you register through the Eventbrite link so that we can track attendance. This event was specifically created for the United Against Racism group and has a limited number of spots, so for now please only register if you are local to the New Gloucester/Gray area.

COVID-19 Notes: Originally planned to be in-person, as of 9/15 we are shifting this first session online. We will evaluate the safest way to meet closer to the date of upcoming sessions and keep all attendees informed. A link and update will go out to everyone registered.
