Eric Henson, 51, of New Gloucester, Maine, passed away at home on February 27, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Born in Lewiston, Maine, Eric was a devoted son, father, brother, fiancé, and friend who touched the lives of many with his kindness, passion, and unwavering love for music.
Eric is survived by his loving fiancée, Samantha Childs; his sons, Gabriel Henson and fiancée Nicole Latulippe, and Salem Henson; his stepson, Tyler Rioux; and his brother, Marc Henson, and wife, Angela Henson and his nephews Anthony and Jackson. He was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.
A talented drummer, Eric’s passion for music led him to perform in numerous local bands, with his most recent being Lying in Ruin. He found great joy in sharing his love of music with his sons and fiancée, especially through attending concerts together.
Eric dedicated 25 years as a highly valued Quality Officer at Pioneer Plastics, where his expertise and work ethic earned him the respect of his colleagues. Outside of work, he found peace in nature, enjoying hunting, fishing, and trips to the ocean.
Above all, Eric was a devoted father who cherished time with his family. His love, laughter, and unwavering support will remain in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
A celebration of Eric’s life will be held at The Village Inn at 165 High St, Auburn on Sunday March 16th at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in his memory to a cancer research organization of your choice.
