“Mainers should be very proud” of having among the highest voter participation rate in the nation, and one of the safest, most secure election systems, Secretary of State Shenna Bellows told the audience attending her presentation at the Gray Library on September 22. She provided a through explanation of Maine’s election system, and responded to audience members’ questions. This presentation was hosted by the League of Women Voters, Portland Area.
