Don Perkins: “The Barns of Maine” author talk Mon. March 25

Maine author Don Perkins will speak about his book The Barns of Maine: Our History, Our Stories on Monday, March 25, at the Library and live on Zoom. The talk will begin at 6 p.m.

Don Perkins has been a freelance writer since 2005. A former carpenter and woodworker with a longtime interest in timber framing, he combines informative tales of iconic farm buildings with their owners to reveal the history and lost craft of our barns.

In his book, The Barns of Maine: Our History, Our Stories, Perkins examines the structures, origins, and evolution of Maine’s barns, demonstrating the vital and precious role they play in people’s lives.

A Zoom link will be posted to the Library website and Facebook page the day of the event.
