Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Cultural Competency Training

An accessible and engaging learning session focused on understanding the needs of Maine’s diverse community. Cross Cultural Community Services (CCCS) will provide collaborative training on how to raise your own cultural competency and engage in dialogue that supports anti-racist ideals. Focused on Maine and Maine systems, CCCS specializes in providing guidance that is local, actionable, and context-driven. The team has broad knowledge and lived experience in creating concrete strategies that mitigate racism, classism, and bias.

This event from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 23, is free and hosted by New Gloucester United Against Racism. It’s the first in a series of three sessions, with future dates to be announced soon.
