Demolition at Opportunity Farm

Peter Bragdon sent us a report on the recent activities surrounding Opportunity Farm on Gloucester Hill Road. He writes: “A tire swing hangs from a tree in front of a pile of debris that was once a dormitory for the Opportunity Farm for Boys. The working farm started in 1912, housing up to 50 boys at times over the years. The property later became Wayfinder School, then most recently the Morrison Center. Through the transitions, maintenance was not kept up on the buildings and they fell into disrepair. The property is now privately owned.”
