“Constant stream of changing circumstances” alters MSAD 15 calendar, plans

A reinstated April vacation week and extension of remote learning through the end of the school year were among the MSAD 15 school board’s decisions at a special April 10 meeting.

In a letter to the community, superintendent Craig King acknowledged the challenges of the changed calendar in particular.  He expressed appreciation for the patience and understanding of families and staff as the district navigates a “constant stream of changing circumstances.”  In suspending in-class instruction for the remainder of the year, the district is following guidance from the state, King said.

Meals will continue to be provided at Memorial School and the high school through the April break, Monday through Friday from 10 am to 1 pm, King said.

With stress and grief prevalent, King urged the school community to use the April vacation “to rest, relax, and focus on your own wellness.”
