On Tuesday, May 4, the New Gloucester Democratic Committee will hold a Celebration, Catch-Up and Kick Start! gathering at Coolidge Family Farm in New Gloucester’s Upper Village on Rt. 100, from 5:30 to 7:30 PM.
After this very long year of Zoom-only gatherings, it will be great to see each other again face-to-face (outside) and mask-to-mask (inside) for food, drinks, and conversation.
The evening will also include an informational Q & A session with Scott Seaver on the timely issue of town charters. Seaver served as selectman in North Yarmouth when the town developed their Town Charter and shepherded the town of Chebeague Island through a revision of town ordinances. He will give some insight into the difference between the two processes, and what New Gloucester may expect of our town charter process, set to begin this summer after the June 8 election of six (6) at-large Charter Commissioners.
This free event is open to all New Gloucester Democrats. Hope to see you there!
