Capital budget groundwork: Board of Selectmen tonight, Nov. 23

Tonight’s board of selectmen meeting agenda suggests that the FY21-22 budget season is about to kick into high gear.

Included in tonight’s agenda packet is a proposed schedule of Capital Improvement Program committee meetings in December featuring presentations by department heads. A multiyear paving plan, vehicle replacement schedules, and other capital items for Public Works, Fire and Rescue, and the Transfer Station are also included in the packet.

Also on the agenda: discussion of the board’s appointments to the town charter commission, job descriptions for library staff, and preparations for the upcoming December 15 special election.
