Book talk with Maine author David Florig Tuesday Jan. 30

Maine author David Florig comes to the New Gloucester Library to talk about his new novel, The Stones of Alisa Craig, on Tuesday, January 30, at 6 p.m. Copies of the book will be available for sale.

The book is historical fiction, part mystery and part psychological drama, set in present-day Belfast, Maine, and 1890s Scotland, including on the remote and forbidding island of Ailsa Craig, home of the finest curling stone granite in the world.

Florig has said The Stones of Alisa Craig explores themes of loss, obsession, vengeance, and justice and is full of history about Scotland, Maine and the sport of curling.

Meet author David Florig and learn more on Tuesday, January 16, at 6 p.m. at the New Gloucester Public Library, 379 Intervale Road.
