Back to school at Senior College online!

| Jane Sturgis |

It’s back to school time in our community!  If you are fifty years old and have access to a computer or tablet or a “smart” phone, you can take an interesting course, using Zoom, and not have to leave your house!  You will have a chance to share in discussions with an interesting group of senior citizens and expand your social horizons.

I have been going to Senior College at USM in Lewiston for several years and have taught a couple of literature classes and will be teaching another one this fall, starting in September.

The fall catalogue has been posted online and is available at this website.  To become a member you pay dues of $25 for the year.  The courses are a real bargain at $10 per course. Most classes have a size limit, often 15 people per class.  Most classes run for six weeks.  I am teaching two books this year, so my class will go for eight weeks.  They will be accepting registrations pretty soon, so I wanted to give you a “heads up” so you don’t miss out on the interesting and fun classes that are being offered this fall.  You will also have to purchase books or supplies for the classes, but they are pretty reasonably priced.

If you have a question, you can email me and I will try to answer your question.

Don’t just sit and home and be bored; power up that computer and join the “cool kids” at Senior College.
