An update on town managers

According to select board chair Karen Gilles, the search for a new town manager is well underway. After a review of many resumes, seven candidates were invited for interviews. The search team, which includes select board members and Sharlene Myers, are now conducting second interviews with some of those candidates. The timeline will depend in part on how those go, Gilles said.

Former town manager Brenda Fox-Howard has been contracted as part time interim town manager on several projects through June 5th. Her responsibilities include dealing with the Steven’s Brook project (pending funding), hiring a new town planner, and writing a summary of consultants Municipal Resources, Inc.’s study of the public works department. Sharlene Myers has been named acting town manager, as she was when Paul First was interim manager.
