Dear NGX readers,
We appreciate all of you and strive to make NGX a reliable source of information and contributions from local folks who volunteer to share their creative work, reporting, and opinions.
Our website, ngxchange.org, automatically posts to our Facebook page. Some of you follow us there, others subscribe via the website. And some, we have heard, bookmark the site in their news folder.
We’ve had some difficulties with our “back end” software, which we hope is now working more smoothly, thanks to our volunteer tech consultant, Don Richardson.
The biggest change is our eDelivery for subscribers. Don actually wrote custom software to make this work better.
Here’s what you need to know…
• Subscribers will no longer receive an email alert every time we publish a new post. A new email system is in place for our eDelivery subscribers to receive twice a week updates from NGXchange.org. The periodic email coming from info@ngxchange.org will provide subscribers with links to the latest posts since the last email went out.
• We have cleaned up our current list of eDelivery emails for subscribers and have sent out two emails under the new system. If for some reason you are on the list and not receiving our emails, please check in your spam or junk folders and make sure you mark these emails as not junk/spam. Once you do this you should start to see the email in your inbox. If you do not receive any emails from us in the next week, please go back to NGXchange.org and subscribe again (see the right-side navigation on the home page).
• Several of the email addresses in our database are international addresses. We have not deleted these as yet. Please let us know in the next week if you have an international email address so that we don’t delete you!
• We here at NGXchange.org take email very seriously and make every effort to email our subscribers in a professional manner. We conform to email standards which means that we do not hide where our email is coming from, and will always provide a method to unsubscribe from our email list. As well, we do not share your email address with anyone and it is only used to communicate to you through our eDelivery service.
If have any difficulties with your eDelivery subscription, navigating our website or Facebook page, please send us a note at editor@ngxchange.org
And, If you’ve thought about sending us a photo, poem, essay, letter to the editor, event notification and haven’t, please do get in touch!
Warm regards,
The NGX Team
