| Letter to the Editor from Donald Libby |
Dear citizens of New Gloucester,
I normally don’t write letters of support or opposition to projects, but I am going to make an exception for the Stevens Brook culvert/dam project. I encourage the citizens to approve this project. The pond on Gloucester Hill Road is in my mind a part of the historic landscape of the town. (It even predates me). From a fishing hole for local kids, fire protection in the future possibly, to at one time winter ice skating. It would be a shame not to vote in the last part of this process which is the financial piece after the towns people already voted they wanted the pond to stay when they agreed for the engineering. Please vote yes.
