Santa will be coming to town, Covid-safe!

|From New Gloucester Santa’s Facebook page|

Was a month before Christmas Mrs C and I have come to reason, this covid thing will not ruin our holiday season. For 53 years we’ve changed here and there but this is a change we all have to share. Santa is coming to town, this is without a doubt, but we want to make it safe for all to come out. Let’s do it with caution, let’s all be safe, we’ll meet at Thompson’s and cover our face. Then on to the town hall for some caroling too, but stay 6 feet away so your voice will come through. We’ll go to upper village but the big Christmas tree to wind up our pre trip, the Mrs and me. We can’t visit inside at this time (boy it’s hard to make all this rhyme). We can’t stop and go inside, let’s show some town pride, come community cheer, let’s do something different and stay outside this year. Come see me at Thompson’s or at town hall or the big Christmas tree, it’s really your call, but let’s be safe, wear hats, mittens, mask, a warm winter coat, its not a big task. For 53 years through rain and snow, from 50 above to 15 below year 54 has thrown us a curve but Santa and friends we will not swerve. We ask you to come out and see us this year to make life long memories and holiday cheer! Please visit Thompson’s Orchard because they help make all this possible. Please call John at 650-6630 or Lisa at 754-0476 with any questions. Santa’s visit is made possible by the support of Thompson’s Orchard and your donations.
