The board of selectmen will hold a public hearing on Thursday March 25 at 6:30 pm on Zoom to answer questions about the special town meeting vote to be held on April 13. Click here for Zoom login information.
In the April 13 vote, residents will consider funding for the Stevens Brook dam and culvert repair project and purchase of a new loader for the transfer station. The select board and budget committee recommend passage of both warrant articles.
A breakdown of costs and sources of funds for each item is detailed in the warrant (click here for a sample ballot). A combination of existing funds and a new bond would pay for the Stevens Brook project; the $125,000 loader would come from capital reserves.
