Public Hearing on TIF Amendment and Liquor License

The Town of New Gloucester will hold a Public Hearing on two topics at a Board of Selectmen’s meeting on Monday, March 5, 2018, 7:00 p.m., at the New Gloucester Meetinghouse, 389 Intervale Road, New Gloucester, Maine.

Tax Increment Financing (TIF) District Amendment to Fund Public Works Garage

An Amendment to the Municipal Tax Increment Financing District known as the “Pineland Municipal Development Tax Increment Financing District” (the “Pineland District”) and amendment to its Development Program. The purpose of the public hearing is to receive public comments on Warrant Articles that will address the following items: The First Amendment to the Pineland District and its development program pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 206 of Title 30-A of the Maine Revised Statutes, as amended. The First Amendment would add municipal project costs to the development program, including the ability of the Town to use tax increment revenues to fund a portion of the costs of a public works facility. The Pineland District consists of 483 acres located between Morse Road and Intervale Roads. To approve the design, construction, and financing of a new Public Works Facility. A copy of the proposed amendment to the Pineland District and its development program will be on file with the Town Clerk’s office during normal business hours.

Pineland Liquor License

Liquor License application for Black Tie, Inc., located at Pineland Farms, The Board of Selectmen will consider approving the license at the same meeting following the Public Hearing.

All interested persons are invited to attend the public hearing and will be given an opportunity to be heard at that time.
