NG ‘Trick-or-trunk’ Halloween event proves popular

Interest in New Gloucester Parks and Recreation’s imaginative ‘Trick or Trunk’ alternative activities for kids on Halloween has been high.  The unique event will combine a costume parade and contactless grab-and-go treat bags at spaced, spookily decorated trunks at the Fairgrounds. Part of “A Very GNG Halloween,” the plan was developed jointly with Gray Recreation.

Unfortunately, all sign-up slots for the event are full and the waiting list is already quite long, NG parks and recreation director Morgan Rocheleau told NGX. Given Covid restrictions, the event can safely accommodate only so many families, he said.

But community members can still help make this special Halloween event a success by volunteering to host a trunk or donating candy in advance. For more information about how to help, contact NG parks and recreation director Morgan Rocheleau at 926-4126 ext. 231 or by email at mrocheleau@newgloucester.com
