New signs at Lower Village

Public Works employees Marvin Hamilton and Jim Kimball installed new LED stop signs Wednesday morning at the Lower Village intersection. The town ordered the signs following a collision in late November.

As a car paused before turning onto 231, Kimball quipped, “Look! It’s working already!”

The signs, which sport an intermittent flashing border, are going in on both sides of the approaches from Gloucester Hill Road and Cobbs Bridge Road. Neighbors hope the brighter, more conspicuous signs will cut down on crashes.
