|Melody Driscoll, born in Lewiston, ME on May 30, 1946 to Frank and Margaret Driscoll, passed away at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough on November 30, 2015. Although she was ill for some time, she was able to rest comfortably during her final days and her life came to a very peaceful end.
Melody attended Edward Little High School in Auburn, Maine and Gorham State Teachers College graduating in 1968. A devoted teacher for 44 years, she taught primarily 4th grade at Memorial and Dunn schools in New Gloucester, ME. Early in her career, she also taught at Spencer School in Middletown, CT. Melody believed that teaching was her true calling in life, which she was evidenced by the countless students she inspired, mentored, and genuinely cherished. Keep reading
