Mainers take advantage of mild temps and get outside for winter recreation

As the pandemic rages on, Mainers are looking for things to do.

“People want to get outside,” said Brian Mailhot, director of the Market and Welcome Center and Pineland Farms in New Gloucester, which was busy with visitors Sunday.

“My New Year’s resolution is to get out – snowshoe, walk, ice skate, whatever I can do to get out of the house,” said Melissa Veilleux, who was trying out Pineland Farms’s new outdoor ice-skating rinks with her family.
