Local Covid-19 cases continue to rise, but a bit more slowly

Covid-19 infections in New Gloucester started slowly, with one case in April 2020, rising and staying steady at 11 through the summer and into the fall. In November, numbers started to climb and this trend continued through the winter. While the numbers of infection appear to be slowing statewide, the Maine CDC cautions that there may be another surge as they race to vaccinate people while more contagious variants make their appearance. We’re all hoping for something like a normal summer, so please protect yourself and others in the meantime. Together, we can do this!
