GNGLL looks to fill open positions; registration opens Feb. 1

|Sam Pfeifle|

After a successful summer and fall season employing new covid safety precautions, the Gray-New Gloucester Little League will open registration on Feb. 1 for a full season this spring at all levels. However, the all-volunteer board could use some help.

Currently, the Little League has the following open positions:

Treasurer: The league finances are relatively straightforward and uncomplicated. If you know your way around an Excel file (or, better yet, Quickbooks!), please raise your hand.

Equipment manager: This role places annual orders, keeps inventory, and makes sure the equipment is in safe working order.

Sponsorship manager: Have some sales experience? GNGLL need someone to manage annual solicitations to the very generous local business community.

Grounds coordinator: Our fields are always in need of upkeep and improvement — plus, there are some very exciting plans in the works. Help make sure the kids always have a fun, safe place to play.

If you have any interest in any of these positions, and are free to meet roughly monthly with the board of directors, please reach out to GNGLL President Nate Stone, at president@gnglittleleague.org

With registration starting Feb. 1, GNGLL needs all hands on deck as soon as possible.

T-ballers can sign up as long as they will be 4 before Aug. 31, and GNGLL will be offering both Junior and Senior leagues this year, meaning players as old as 16 are eligible to sign up.
