Gary Harriman will be running for school board as a write-in candidate

This would be for my 5th, 3 year term.  But almost immediately after taking out papers the “stay at home” directive came out of Augusta.  I didn’t feel it was in anyone’s best interest for me to go door to door collecting signatures.  I reached out to the town (and asked my local State Rep Amy Arata to look into) whether there would be any optional way to collect the signatures.  The best advice was to: A. place the form in some location where people could come and sign it or B. run as a write in.  And since having people come to me to sign didn’t seem much better than me going to them I decided to run as a write in.  At some point when we get closer to the actual election I’m planning to do some outreach via social media to get the word out and hopefully that will be enough.
