Fire and Rescue items top Dec. 14 select board agenda

With the recent resignation of Chief Toby Martin, the board of selectmen will take up Fire and Rescue matters at their December 14 meeting, among several other matters.

Action items include the job description for the Fire and Rescue chief position; a position description dating from September 2015 is part of the meeting packet.  The board also appears poised to review the town’s Fire and Rescue ordinance; a Fire and Rescue ordinance dated March 2003 is among the meeting documents.

Also on the agenda: a proposed schedule of BoS budget workshops and budget committee meetings as the FY21-22 budget process accelerates in January; two appointments to the budget committee; and recently workshopped job descriptions for library director and assistant librarian positions. Voters will consider a library budget in a special election on Tuesday December 15.
