Extrication and Life Flight needed for Intervale Road accident

General Incident Description: New Gloucester Fire Rescue was dispatched to the area of 557 Intervale Road for a reported single vehicle accident. Companies arrived on scene to find a box truck with heavy front in damage and heavy entrapment. The patient reportedly had been trapped on scene for multiple hours prior to the 911 call being placed. A call was made for Gray R47 for additional manpower and Life Flight to the scene due to extended extrication operations.

Companies worked for 35 minutes to complete the extrication. Life Flight landed at the ball fields on Intervale Road near the scene. The patient was transported a short distance and care was transferred to Life Flight, who transported to patient to CMMC. Companies were back in service at 0533.
