A car crossing the intersection from Cobb’s Bridge Road missed the stop sign and hit another vehicle carrying a local family on Route 231 on Friday afternoon. Neighbors have gotten into the habit of bringing out orange cones, assisting the injured and directing traffic before first responders arrive. The NGFR and County Sheriff’s Department arrived quickly. Fortunately, there were no major injuries. This was the third accident at this intersection in the past nine months. Photo: Doug Smith
