This site was created by a group of local folks as an online space for sharing information about what’s happening in our community; buying, selling, trading goods: by, for and about New Gloucester. It was cruising along pretty well— until– it was hacked, badly, twice in two weeks. We’ve lost all the historical content but have rebuilt the site from scratch as of April 2015.

The New Gloucester Exchange is “By / for / about”  New Gloucester. An account at this site is available to any individual interested, invested, and/or involved in New Gloucester’s community. Residency in New Gloucester is not a requirement. You must provide current, accurate identification, contact, and other information required as part of the registration process and for continued access to the site. Upon registration, you will be able to contribute posts to the site. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and account, and are responsible for all site activity thereunder.

Moderators of this site will determine whether content is acceptable for publication, and they reserve the right to refuse and/or modify service to this site.  Your contribution will be posted if it is By, For, and/or About  the New Gloucester community, and as long as it meets standards of Respect, Honesty, and Relevance.
Due to the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998, you must be at least thirteen years of age to have an account on this site.

Content deemed inappropriate for this site includes, but is not limited to:
-Violation of another party’s intellectual property rights or privacy rights,
-Promotion of racism, hatred, or defamation of any kind against another group or individual,
-Abusive, harassing, defamatory, or unlawful content,
-Profanity, obscenity, and false or misleading information,
-Any material that does not qualify as By, For, and/or About New Gloucester
-Any material that is disrespectful, dishonest, or irrelevant to New Gloucester
